Queens Chiropractor Uses Non-Surgical
The treatment plans that we use in our Queens offices are tailored to each patient and pain condition. Our Queens chiropractor will first sit down with the patient for a one-on-one consultation, during which the patient can explain to the doctor exactly what type of pain or physical concerns are causing problems. At that point, Dr. Lee will start to design a pain management and rehabilitation treatment plan that generally includes a range of therapies. Dr. Lee treats both dull chronic pain and acute pain with therapies that include chiropractic care of all types, corrective exercises, heat therapy, ice therapy, spinal manipulation under local anesthesia, gentle mobile injury palpation, postural screenings, spinal screenings, traction, spinal decompression, and various types of wellness care to help prevent recurrence of the injury.
We use non-surgical spinal decompression therapy for many of our patients since it is effective at moving the intervertebral discs into proper positions again, thus allowing for natural healing. Spinal decompression machines use a gentle but targeted force that decompresses, or gently re-orders into proper position, the discs that are causing pain. The spine will thus be relieved of the pressure and pain that accompanies compressed discs and healing can begin. Each spinal decompression treatment takes between 20 and 35 minutes, and the number of treatments needed depends upon the individual patient and degree of compression. This type of chiropractic care may be used to treat most pain conditions such as back pain, neck pain, herniated discs, bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, or posterior facet syndrome.
For spinal decompression patients, Dr. Lee may recommend that patient refrain from certain activities during and after treatment. Additionally, we advise decompression therapy patients to drink at least a half-gallon of water daily to help re-hydrate the intervertebral discs. When rehabilitation and pain relief treatments are applied to the actual area where the problem (such as sciatica, for example) originated, the pain can be stopped not just temporarily but on a long term basis. We approach pain relief in a long term way. Instead of providing a quick-fix solution, we prescribe treatments like spinal decompression, general rehabilitation and chiropractic care for patients suffering from a back injury, neck injury, or sciatica that will provide both immediate relief and relief for good.
Each patient who visits Dr. Lee's Spine Center your Chiropractor in Queens will find that no matter what type of physical pain issue they are dealing with, we are here to provide a custom treatment plan. Each patient gets our full attention and our wholehearted promise: We are here to help you heal!
